T: Dear Lemon, why am I so attracted to you at the moment?
Lemon: It is the energy of joy that you are so attracted to.
T: Tell me more.
Lemon: Do you remember last August when you had friends over for dinner?
T: Oh yes, that was great fun.
Lemon: It wasn't fun, you enjoyed yourself. That's a big difference.
T: Why is that?
Lemon: You enjoyed preparing the table, decorating it with lemons, cooking the food, baking the lemon cake...You were full of joy. And while the guests were there, you also enjoyed yourself and everyone felt that. You had a beautiful evening.Do you remember how the lemons where glowing on the table cloth? It was no coincidence that you choose lemons.
T: Yes, i still remember those amazing lemons, but I still don't understand the difference between fun and joy.
Lemon: When you do something for fun, you do it because you want the next kick! When there is need for something there is always a space in you which is not fullfilled and this demands for something from the outside. When this outside kick is gone it leaves a feeling of unwellness or unrestlessness similar to withdrawal. And as a result you look for the next kick, the next moment of fun.
T: How do I know when I am doing something with joy?
Lemon: It is a calm presents. The gift to experience life in the present moment, without expectations or conditions for the outcome. When what you do, needs an extra kick, it is simply fun.
T: That sounds a bit lame, doesn't it?
Lemon: All right, let's go back to the late summer evening. Was it lame to enjoy yourself while preparing food and enjoying the company of friends?
T: No, it was not.
Lemon: What felt lame to you is that it didn't require anything except being present. You are so used to, almost addicted to, demanding something that the simplicity of just being present feels lame.
T: Yes, that's true. it is a common believe in society, that neediness for the next big thing is what keeps us thriving.
L: Yes, and what has it done? It makes people live very complicated and exhausting lifes.
T: So lemons as a trend? How can it assist us?
L: As you look at a lemon, smell it, drink it, it meakes it easy to connect to the energy of joy.
T: Does that mean we will have a lot of lemon prints next season?
L: Not necessarily, it can manifest itself in many ways. It can be as simple as seasoning food with lemon zest. Decorating with lemons, the spirit of late summer evenings, making fresh lemonade, expressing joy in different forms.
T: The spirit of late summer evenings?
L: Yes, that's what joy and my energy is about. It's that feeling you get on late summer evenings where you just feel happy in the moment, without the need to change anything, without looking to the future. Just the pure joy of the now.
By the way the sunflower is a friend of mine with a similar energy and we will see her a lot as well.
T: So you and the sunflower would not be here, if this did not resonate with many people.
L: Yes, in many people there is a true heart's desire for that joy and wherever you can bring that into your projects or products, do it. It will help humanity to come back to the joy in the now. To the simplicity of life.
T: Thank you.
